Josh Brooks is one of the featured authors in the anthology, and his short story is titled Black Flags Rising. The story is an action thriller that explores what could happen if a group of Michigan Militiamen, National Guard Troops, and Civilian Security Contractors found themselves defending a nuclear power plant outside of Detroit against a faction of Islamic State extremists who saw a Black Swan event as their opportunity to strike out against the United States and expand the powers of their caliphate.
